Zambian schools produce high some achievers each year against difficult odds. One of the challenges that schools face is the limited availability of resources such as books. The is developing innovative ways of providing secondary school students with resources to aid them in their successful completion of their studies.
There challenge is to improve the percentage of students that complete grade 12 with a General Certificate of Education (GCE 'O' level). Overcoming this challenge will take time, and we believe it's achievable. We are yet to set goals, e.g. increase the pass rate by 10% every year. As we continue implementing our plans, the setting of goals and the clarification of objectives will take place.
We are currently running a pilot project in which we provide grade 12 students with revision material and an affordable cost. If you are in grade 12 or know someone who is in grade 12 and they live in Kitwe or Lusaka, ask them to get in touch with us. There are currently only about 50 places for this project. The service is provided on a first come first server basis.
Implementation of the book club is underway. We hope to start stocking our selection of books soon. Visit the book club page for a list of books that we hope to stock.
